A Sales Associate, a homeowner, and a firsthand believer in the American Legend difference.
At American Legend Homes, we love hearing the stories of the people who make our homes special. And when one of our own team members chooses to build their life in an American Legend home, it makes that story even more meaningful!
Meet Gaige, a Sales Associate at American Legend Homes’ Bridgewater community, who brings seven years of experience in new home sales and a personal appreciation for the homebuying journey. After purchasing his first American Legend home before joining the company, Gaige has continued to grow his appreciation for the quality, thoughtful design, and flexibility that make our homes stand out.
We sat down with Gaige to learn more about his experience, his favorite features of his home, and how being a homeowner himself helps him better serve his customers.
Gaige has spent seven years in new home sales, including the last four years with American Legend Homes. Outside of work, he enjoys life with his wife and their two children.
For Gaige, one of the most rewarding parts of his role is helping people find or build a home that fits their dreams and lifestyle. He also values the relationships he has developed throughout his career, from the buyers he works with to his coworkers and management team.
Those relationships are an important part of what makes his work so gratifying—and his personal homebuying experience has only deepened his passion for helping others find the right home.
When it came time to find a home for his own family, Gaige knew exactly what mattered most: quality construction, an open-concept floor plan, spacious rooms, and the flexibility to make changes to fit his family's needs.
With a background in custom homes, he understood the value of personalization. American Legend Homes stood out because it offered the opportunity to make custom changes without the price tag typically associated with a custom builder.
“The overall quality for the price you pay was a no brainer in our decision,” Gaige shared.
The spacious layouts were another major selling point, particularly the bedrooms and closets. Compared with other builders he considered, Gaige appreciated how thoughtfully the space was designed, with no wasted square footage.
Ultimately, it was the combination of quality, flexibility, and functional design that made American Legend Homes the right choice for his family.
While the layout and room sizes first caught Gaige's attention, it's the personal touches that make his home especially meaningful.
His favorite features? The natural stone fireplace and wood beams on the ceiling in the family room.
“The family room is the heart of our home,” Gaige explained, noting how these features elevate the space.
It's easy to see why these details stand out. They bring warmth, character, and a sense of personality to a room where his family can spend time together and make memories. It's a great example of how thoughtful design elements can transform a space into something that feels uniquely yours.
Working in new home sales gave Gaige a strong understanding of the contract process, so he felt well prepared when it was his turn to buy a home. But his experience goes beyond knowing what happens during a transaction.
Having been on both sides of the homebuying journey, Gaige understands the importance of helping buyers feel informed, confident, and supported throughout the process.
His experience as a homeowner, combined with the behind-the-scenes knowledge he's gained working at American Legend Homes, allows him to connect with buyers on a more personal level.
“[I can] combine that with my personal experience and provide an exceptional buying experience for the new homeowners coming in,” Gaige shared.
That perspective is especially valuable at Bridgewater, where he can relate to the excitement, questions, and decisions that come with purchasing a new home. He's been in his buyers' shoes, and that firsthand understanding helps him build genuine connections with the families he serves.
Interestingly, Gaige says it wasn't purchasing his home that reinforced his belief in American Legend Homes—it was working for the company.
He purchased his first American Legend home before joining the team. Since then, seeing the work that happens behind the scenes has made him appreciate the product even more.
His story reflects something we value at American Legend Homes: confidence in what we build comes not only from what homeowners see, but also from the people and processes that bring each home to life.
For Gaige, being part of that process makes helping other families find their homes even more rewarding.
For Gaige and his family, their American Legend home offers the quality, space, and personal touches they were looking for. For his customers, his experience offers something equally valuable: the guidance of someone who understands the homebuying journey from both a professional and personal perspective.
We're proud to have Gaige on the American Legend Homes team and love that he and his family have made an American Legend home their own!
