Ramble’s Trails and Pathways Are Coming to Life

September 10, 2026

Ramble’s Trails and Pathways Are Coming to Life

There’s something special about a trail that invites you to slow down.

Maybe it’s a morning walk beneath the trees. A bike ride with the kids. A run at the end of a long day. Or simply a quiet place to sit, watch the landscape change and enjoy being outside.

At Ramble by Hillwood in Celina, Texas, that experience is woven into the community from the very beginning.

With the opening of Ramble’s trails and pathways, residents will have more opportunities to walk, ride, explore and connect with the natural landscape that surrounds them. And these aren’t simply paths from one destination to another. They’re part of a larger vision for a community designed around nature, movement and everyday moments of discovery.

A Trailway at the Heart of the Community

At the center of Ramble is the Ramble Trailway — a planned seven-mile linear greenspace that will eventually wind from west to east through the community.

Rather than thinking of it as one long trail, Ramble envisions the Trailway as a collection of outdoor experiences connected together: parks, open spaces, play lawns, shaded gathering areas, public art, nature stations and places to simply stop and enjoy the day.

From the Trailway, additional paths extend into neighborhoods and toward parks, lakes, schools and amenities. The result is a network designed to make exploring Ramble possible without always getting in the car.

That connection is one of the things that makes the trail system such an important part of the community's identity.

More Than One Way to Enjoy the Outdoors

Not every trail is meant for the same adventure — and Ramble's network reflects that.

There are paved pathways for biking and skating, soft-surface running trails, singletrack mountain biking trails and paths designed simply to lead residents to interesting places throughout the community.

That variety means the trail experience can change with the day.

A quick walk before breakfast. An afternoon bike ride. A family outing to the lake. A run through the natural landscape. A leisurely stroll with a neighbor. The trails are designed to become part of everyday life rather than something residents have to plan a special trip around.

A Community Designed Around Connection

Ramble is being built on approximately 1,380 acres, with a long-term vision that includes more than 4,200 homes, nearly 220 acres of parks and nature, 28 acres of recreational lakes and approximately 30 miles of additional trails and pathways.

The numbers are impressive, but the real story is how those pieces connect.

Homes are positioned around parks and natural spaces. Trails connect neighborhoods to amenities. Lakes create places for recreation and relaxation. Nature stations provide opportunities to learn. And gathering spaces give neighbors reasons to spend time together.

It’s a different way of thinking about what a neighborhood can be — one where the outdoors isn't something you drive to find. It's right outside your door.

The Beginning of Something Bigger

As Ramble continues to grow, so will its trail network.

The community is being developed in phases, beginning with West Lake and its surrounding parks, trailheads and amenities. Future phases will add more neighborhoods, parks, trails, schools and places to explore. That means the opening of the trails isn't simply the completion of a pathway, it's the beginning of a lifestyle.

A morning spent walking through the neighborhood. A bike ride to the lake. Kids discovering something new along a nature trail. Neighbors meeting on a shaded pathway. A sunset stroll after dinner.

These are the everyday experiences that can turn a collection of homes into a true community.

Come Find Your Path

Ramble's trails and pathways are designed around a simple idea: sometimes the best way to experience a place is to slow down and explore it on foot.

As the Trailway and its connected network continue to take shape, residents will have more ways to move, play, gather and discover the natural beauty of Celina.

Because at Ramble, the path isn't just a way to get somewhere. The path is part of the destination.
