American Legend’s top five places to watch the leaves change

September and October are peak times to see the trees transition throughout Colorado and the process is absolutely stunning. Taking a nice walk this time of year and appreciating the colorful orange, red and yellow leaves at the end of a long day is sure to leave you feeling at peace. So grab your camera, your favorite fall sweater and a pumpkin latte and head for the trees! Here are five of the best places to watch the leaves change in areas close to your American Legend home. 

1.    Aurora, Colorado: Sagebrush Park

This park in the Aurora community has an abundance of space for kids and dogs and also an abundance of trees. The trees provide shelter from the sun on a hot summer day and also bring a vibrancy to the park as the colors change in the fall.

2.    Berthoud, Colorado: Berthoud Park 

Berthoud Park has everything from a playground to a swimming pool to an amazing tree-filled area that is perfect for relaxing days. This park is known for its tree-shaded seating areas which means it’s the ideal place to bring friends and family and enjoy the colors of nature that surround us this time of year. 

3.    Loveland, Colorado: Benson Sculpture Garden 

This park is unique not only because can you enjoy a beautiful view of the leaves changing colors but you can also take in a world-class sculpture collection. The Benson Sculpture Garden has remarkable sculptures throughout the park, offering a unique exploratory experience for both adults and children, one you can’t find elsewhere.

4.    Timnath, Colorado: Cottonwood Hollow Natural Area

The Cottonwood Hollow Natural Area has easy-to-navigate trails and benches along its walkway for the perfect nature-filled day. Enjoy the colorful tree-lined trails while enjoying a brisk morning jog or a peaceful evening walk.

5.    Windsor, Colorado: Eastman Park 

Eastman Park is one of the top-rated parks in Windsor. With serene walking trails and even a dog park, there is something for everyone to enjoy here. The walking trails surround you with fall colors that are stunning and there is even a river for fishing, making it the perfect fall day! 

Fall is a wonderful time to go outside and enjoy the weather before it gets too cold. The weather is beautiful and the leaves bring colorful displays of bright orange, yellow, green and red.
