Daisy Stoops shares how she designs American Legend models

is a talented interior designer who has worked with American Legend Homes and Belclaire Homes for 12 years and has designed over 100 model homes between the sister companies. She earned her graduate degree in Interior Design from the University of North Texas and has over 15 years of experience in interior design. 

According to Daisy, some of the biggest trends currently are natural wood tones, bohemian styles and simple-clean interiors. Some classic design elements like wood floors, thick baseboards, white ceilings, picture windows and large kitchen islands will always be popular. 

Daisy says the best design inspiration appears organically in daily life, rather than by searching for it. Usually, there will be a color, a swatch of fabric or a piece of art that generates the inspiration to design individual rooms and entire homes that flow together seamlessly. When executing a home’s design, Daisy likes to look at the house as a whole, even taking the land it will rest on into consideration, including its size, trees, views, pool, etc. Doing this creates a cohesive look and a home that is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
